DEMING – The Deming Arts Center will open the new year with a featured exhibition showcasing two distinct artistic styles in one shared show. Mixed Media Assemblage by Vickie Morrow and Photo Art by Diane Alire will be on display beginning in January, offering visitors a diverse and visually engaging experience.
The public is invited to a Meet the Artists art show opening on Sunday, January 4, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. This opening reception provides an opportunity for community members to meet both artists, view their work, and learn more about the creative processes behind each collection.
Vickie Morrow’s mixed media assemblage work combines layered materials, texture, and found objects to create expressive, dimensional pieces. Diane Alire’s photo art offers a contrasting perspective, using photography as a creative medium to capture mood, detail, and artistic interpretation beyond traditional images.
The exhibition will be held at the Deming Arts Center, located at 100 South Gold Avenue in Deming. The Arts Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
