Threatening Call at Bataan Elementary Prompted Coordinated Response by School District and Law Enforcement
DEMING – Deming Public Schools confirmed that a threatening phone call was received at Bataan Elementary School Wednesday afternoon, prompting an immediate and coordinated response between district staff and local law enforcement to ensure the safety of students and personnel.
According to the district, the call came in at approximately 5 p.m. School administrators and the district’s safety team quickly began working with law enforcement partners to assess the situation and investigate the source of the threat while taking steps to maintain campus security.
Officials reported that law enforcement was able to make contact with the individual associated with the call, allowing the situation to be addressed and evaluated without further incident.
Deming Public Schools expressed appreciation for the swift actions taken by staff and law enforcement, emphasizing that the safety of students, employees, and school campuses remains a top priority as the district continues to monitor and respond to any potential concerns.
