DEMING – The Luna County DWI Planning Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at La Fonda Restaurant, located at 601 East Pine Street in Deming.
The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person attendance and a virtual participation option for those unable to attend physically.
According to the official agenda, the meeting will open with a call to order and introductions, followed by approval of the agenda and prior meeting minutes from January 2026. A featured presentation will be given by representatives from Harmony Road Recovery, including Intake Coordinator Joshua Hill and Executive Director Frank Morales.
New business will include discussion of a National Police Week event, while ongoing matters such as the FY27 Local DWI Grant and Distribution Application will be addressed under old business. The council will also receive several program updates, including reports on screening, treatment, compliance, prevention efforts, Teen Court, and regional updates.
The meeting will conclude with announcements and public comments before adjournment. The next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for April 15, 2026.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend either in person or through the virtual option to stay informed about local efforts to reduce driving while intoxicated and improve community safety.
