DEMING – Volunteers at Deming Animal Guardians are playing a vital role in improving the lives of animals across the community, contributing far beyond traditional fundraising efforts.
The organization relies on dedicated volunteers to host twice-monthly adoption events, manage social media and records, support foster placements, and provide daily care and attention that helps animals transition into permanent homes. Their work also includes handling calls for spay and neuter vouchers, writing grants, operating a feral cat program, fostering animals, and running a weekly emergency pet food bank for families in need.
Deming Animal Guardians is encouraging community members to get involved, offering a range of volunteer opportunities tailored to different interests and availability. Organizers say they are happy to match individuals with roles that best suit their skills while supporting the overall mission of animal welfare in the area.
In addition to ongoing volunteer efforts, the organization is planning a shelter clean-up day next month and is seeking donations of plastic storage bins with lids. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., or arrangements can be made by contacting the group directly.
For more information, to volunteer, or to donate, visit www.deminganimalguardians.org or write to Deming Animal Guardians, P.O. Box 1275, Deming, New Mexico 88031-1275.
Community members are encouraged to participate and support the continued care and placement of local animals in need.
