DEMING – Community members will soon have an opportunity to weigh in on how local schools plan to spend their money, as Deming Public Schools prepares to host a public meeting focused on shaping the district’s next budget cycle.
District officials announced that a Community Input Budget Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. at the Emmett Shockley Administration Building on Cody Road. The session is designed to give residents, parents, and stakeholders a direct voice in the planning process for the 2027 school budget and to review the district’s financial outlook.
During the meeting, administrators are expected to present results from a recent budget survey, outline financial projections for the upcoming fiscal year, and open the floor for community feedback and questions. School leaders say the goal is to ensure transparency and encourage public participation as funding priorities are developed for the future of Deming’s students and schools.
District officials encourage anyone with an interest in the school system’s finances to attend the meeting or contact Deming Public Schools directly for additional information about the budgeting process and how community input will be considered moving forward.
