Carlos Daniel Rodriguez, 18, a resident of Deming, NM went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2026.
Carlos was born on November 12, 2007 in Deming, NM to Maricela Rodriguez.
As a little boy he had a big imagination. He could imagine things and how to make it work.
Steve taught him many trades, wood working, electrical, and remodeling. He also taught him how to drive trucks and heavy machinery.
His other love was his truck, he could spend hours working on it. He loved playing his music and you could hear him coming blocks away. When something would not work he would spend hours trying to fix it. He would not give up. His mom, Jimmy and him would spend hours working on his truck until it got fixed. It was his pride and joy!
His beautiful smile, kind, and very respectful ways will be missed.
Carlos was to graduate on May 21 from Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School.
He is survived by his mother, Maricela Rodriguez and her companion Jimmy Bravo Torres of Deming, NM; one brother, Alfred Alexis Martinez of Deming, NM; his grandmother, Sylvia D. Rodriguez and her companion Steve Kasperian who helped raised Carlos and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 10-11:30am at Terrazas Funeral Chapel with the holy rosary beginning at 11:30am with Patsy Leyba. Funeral mass will then begin at 1pm at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Tony Basso officiating. Cremation will then take place at Terrazas Crematory. An inurnment will then take place on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 2pm at Mountain View Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his great grandfather Manuel R. Dominguez.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eddiberto Rodriguez, Alfredo Alexis Martinez, Asension Salas, Daniel Arvizo, Miguel Arvizo, Octaviano Martinez (Tavi) and Ethan Gonzales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luis Carlos Treviso, Carlos Payan, Alphonzo Carter, Marcos Padilla and Giovanni Martinez (Gio).
