DEMING – DAGSHIP Rescue will hold an adoption fair and craft event Saturday, May 9, in the Marshalls parking lot in Deming.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. until at least 4 p.m. and will feature cats, kittens, dogs and puppies available for adoption, depending on weather conditions. Organizers said local vendors will also offer homemade crafts and gifts during the event.
In a post on its Facebook page, DAGSHIP Rescue said all adoptions during the event will be free thanks to a generous donor. The organization encouraged the public to come out, meet the animals and spend time visiting the booths.
The adoption fair is intended to help local rescue animals find permanent homes while bringing the community together for a family-friendly day of pet adoption awareness, shopping and music.
Bravo Mic Communications’ John Krehbiel will provide music for the event.
