DEMING – Molina Healthcare of New Mexico and State Representative Jenifer Jones have teamed up to support Deming Public Schools students as they return to the classroom. With 26% of children in Deming living in poverty, this partnership aims to help ensure every student has the supplies needed for a successful school year.
Molina Healthcare donated backpacks, spiral notebooks, college-ruled paper, and crayon packages to help students be well-prepared. To further assist, Rep. Jones made a matching monetary donation to Deming Public Schools, which will be used to purchase additional school supplies and other necessities.
Superintendent Vicki Chavez expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous contributions, noting that the supplies and financial support will play a significant role in enhancing the school district’s ability to meet the learning needs of students.
This reflects a commitment to investing in Deming’s future leaders and ensuring that Deming students have the tools they need to thrive.
