Deming Wraps Up Summer Swimming Season
DEMING – The City of Deming Parks and Recreation Department is winding down its summer swimming season, with limited time remaining for residents to enjoy the water activities. The Sam Baca Aquatic Center is open for general swim on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Meanwhile, the inflatable water park is available today (Friday) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For families with younger kids, the Amistad Splash Pad is open today until 6 p.m. and will continue its weekend hours, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All city parks remain open, weather permitting. However, a city official informed Deming Radio News that both water parks will be closed during the Southwestern New Mexico State Fair weekend in Deming.
With the season coming to a close, now is the perfect time to take advantage of these last few opportunities to cool off at the pool or splash pad before they shut down for the year.
