DEMING — The Luna County DWI Planning Council will hold its regular monthly meeting at noon on Wednesday, April 15, at La Fonda Restaurant in Deming, with options available for both in-person and virtual participation.
According to the published agenda, council members will begin the meeting with routine business items, including approval of the agenda and review of minutes from the February 2026 meeting. The council will then receive program updates focused on screening, treatment, compliance, prevention, and Teen Court initiatives serving the community.
Reports are scheduled from program staff responsible for treatment and compliance services as well as prevention efforts, including youth-focused programs such as Teen Court. Officials say these updates help guide local strategies aimed at reducing impaired driving and supporting individuals working through the treatment and compliance system.
The meeting will also include time for announcements and public comments before council members set the date for their next regular meeting, currently scheduled for May 20, 2026.
The DWI Planning Council works with local agencies and community partners to coordinate prevention, enforcement, and treatment efforts designed to reduce impaired driving and improve public safety across Luna County.
