DEMING – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One, alongside La Calerita Construction, LLC, is starting a major bridge rehabilitation project on I-10 over the University Avenue Interchange near milepost 141 in Las Cruces.
The $8.4 million project will take around 200 working days, weather permitting.
Drivers should prepare for detours and possible delays. Lane closures will be in place for the next two weeks as traffic shifts to outside driving lanes in both directions.
Crews will be working on the installation of detour crossovers and concrete barriers for safety. Construction hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
