DEMING – Police have reported several arrests and a burglary involving a firearm in Deming. All individuals mentioned are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Forty-year-old Ivan Escudero faces charges of aggravated DWI, third offense, with a blood alcohol level of .16 or higher, driving on a revoked license, multiple traffic violations, and lack of proof of insurance and registration.
Juan Osorio, age 34, was arrested for interference with officers and a municipal court warrant for failure to pay.
John Maynes, 55, was charged with unlawful use of a revoked license.
Luz Aurora Gomez, 23, was taken into custody on a no-bond municipal warrant for failure to appear, and for possessing false evidence of title and registration.
Ramon Perez, 62, was arrested for violating a protection order.
Additionally, police are investigating a burglary at Peppers Supermarket, where a 9mm handgun with accessories was stolen from a vehicle between October 20th and November 4th. The firearm is valued at $1,450.
