DEMING – The Deming City Council will hold its final meeting of the year on Tuesday, December 17, at 5:30 p.m. at 1275 East Pine Street. Residents can attend in person or join virtually via GoToMeeting.
Agenda items include public input, a review of the 2025 holiday schedule, updates to the city’s personnel policy, and consideration of a job description for a golf course superintendent. A public hearing will also address a liquor license request for Parientes Mexican Food and a waiver of the distance requirement from a nearby church.
The council will discuss extending the Pear Street Realignment Project and a proposed ordinance for a Local Economic Development Act project involving Desert Valley, Inc. A closed session will follow to address personnel matters and property issues.
The public is encouraged to attend. The next council meeting is set for January 21, 2025.
