DEMING – The Luna County DWI Program has announced new funding to host substance-free events for youth in the community. These activities aim to provide safe, enjoyable alternatives to alcohol and drug use while promoting positive lifestyles.
Edith Vazquez, DWI Program Director, told KDEM News that their goal is “to empower young people with fun, substance-free opportunities while making Luna County a safer and healthier place.”
The first event is set for Thursday, Dec. 26, at Starmax. Organizers encourage community members to volunteer or support these initiatives and are seeking youth input for planning future events.
