Fenced Lot at Ash and Gold to Serve as Construction Yard

DEMING – If you’ve noticed the fenced-off lot at the corner of Ash and Gold, it’s not a new development—at least, not yet. A city official told KDEM News that the area will serve as a maintenance yard for construction vehicles during the upcoming Gold Street Maintenance Project. That project is scheduled to begin on February 17.

As for the future of the site, which once housed the old Southside Market, there are no updates yet. City officials told KDEM News they have not received any new information about potential developments at the location. They assured us that as soon as any updates become available, they will be shared.

KDEM News will continue to follow both the Gold Street project and any potential changes to the site. More details on the construction work will be provided next week once they are cleared for release.
