Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School Board to Meet Tonight

DEMING – The Governing Council of Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School will hold its monthly board meeting tonight at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place in Room 14 at the school, located at 315 East First Street, and will also be accessible via Zoom.

The agenda includes a public comment session, a spotlight on staff and students, and updates from key committees. Discussion and action items will cover a report on community school food distribution, a follow-up on the election of officers, and a presentation by Sam Gonzales on the school’s charter contract and performance framework. The board will also vote on approving state travel for a student trip to the El Paso Holocaust Museum and El Paso Zoo in early March.

Additionally, upcoming conferences for the governing council will be reviewed, including budget and school law workshops in Albuquerque and the National Charter School Conference in Orlando.

An executive session is scheduled to discuss personnel matters and pending litigation. The meeting is open to the public, and accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities by contacting the school director at least one week in advance.
