DEMING – The Deming Public Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting tonight at 5 p.m. to discuss potential legal action. Following the call to order, roll call, and approval of the agenda, the board will enter a closed executive session to review threatened or pending litigation under the New Mexico Open Meetings Act.
Board members Ashlea Crumley, Mary Lou Cameron, and Olivia Paez will take part in the discussion. No action will be taken during the closed session, but upon returning to open session, the board may consider authorizing legal counsel to proceed with litigation.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for March 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Emmett Shockley Administration Building.
