*DEMING – The Luna County Board of Registration was convened on Tuesday March 11th, 2025, as part of its biennial process to review voter registrations eligible for cancellation. The board, which meets every odd-numbered year, examines cases where voters have had a change of address with the post office but have not updated their voter registration, have failed to vote in the last two general elections, and have had election-related mail returned as undeliverable—resulting in their status being marked as inactive.
Leslie Nabours, chief deputy clerk and elections administrator, told KDEM News that all these factors must align before a voter’s name is placed on the cancellation list.
For more information, voters are encouraged to contact her office at the Luna County Courthouse 700 South Silver Street.
