It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Ramón Altamirano, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the age of 98. He was a beloved father and grandfather who left a legacy of positive attitude, kindness, laughter, and a keen food critic. We will miss him deeply. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 1 to 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Baca’s Funeral Chapel. The Rosary will then be recited at 2 which will be led by his daughter, Irma Juarequi. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the rite of committal and interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Francis Gyua, Pastor, will be officiating.
Ramon is survived by his 4 sons, Manuel (Lori) Altamirano, Ramon Altamirano, Jesus Altamirano, and Trinidad Altamirano; his 3 daughters, Irma (Richard) Juarequi, Guillermina (Guerrero) Macias, and Theresa (Greg) Black; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. As well as many extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Apolonio and Teresa (Payan) Altamirano; his beloved wife, Pilar Altamirano and 4 other siblings.
Serving as Ramon’s pallbearers will be Manny Herrera, Javier Altamirano, Manny Altamirano, Gary Macias, Miguel Altamirano, and Greg Black.
