Arrest Made in Albuquerque Bosque Fire Near Alameda Blvd

ALBUQUERQUE – One man has been arrested in connection with a bosque fire that broke out Saturday in northwest Albuquerque near Alameda Boulevard NW and Rio Grande Boulevard NW.

According to KOAT-TV, a lieutenant with the Albuquerque Police Department spotted the fire and notified fire crews, who were able to quickly bring it under control. The suspect, 45-year-old Sean Taylor, was located nearby and taken into custody without incident.

No injuries were reported, but traffic along Alameda Boulevard NW was backed up for several hours as emergency crews responded. Officials say Taylor is not suspected of involvement in two previous fires that occurred in the bosque area since Thursday.
