DEMING – A $330,000 roadway crack sealing project on Business Loop 22 (Pine Street) in Deming is set to begin Monday night, Sept. 8.
The work, funded as a community investment, will run nightly for about 14 days, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will seal cracks in the pavement from milepost 0 to milepost 4.2. The process helps preserve roadway integrity by preventing moisture from penetrating asphalt or concrete surfaces, which can lead to costly repairs.
Single-lane closures will be in effect in both directions during work hours. Motorists should plan for delays and are urged to use caution, reduce speed, and watch for crews and equipment in the work zone.
Residents along Pine Street may notice some noise overnight, but the contractor will work to minimize disruptions. Dismuke Construction Co. is handling the project.
