DEMING – The Deming/Luna County Chamber of Commerce will host a live candidate forum Tuesday evening at 5:30 at the Deming Historic Train Depot, located at 217 North Country Club Road in the Starmax parking lot.
Chamber President Rosela Nanez told Deming Radio News that all local candidates who filed for office have been invited to participate. Bravo Mic’s KDEM & KOTS radio’s John Krehbiel will serve as moderator, reading questions from the public, though he will not ask questions of his own.
Each candidate will be given two minutes for an opening statement. Questions will be submitted by Chamber members and members of the public in attendance. No questions will be provided to candidates in advance, though the Chamber may share general themes expected to be discussed. A coin toss will determine the order in which candidates respond to the first round of questions.
The public is invited to attend and take part in this community event.
