DEMING – Families are invited to Rabbit Park Sunday, October 19, for the 2025 Great American Candy Drop, a community favorite that promises plenty of fun and excitement for kids of all ages.
The event begins at 11 a.m., with the much-anticipated candy drop scheduled for 1 p.m. As in past years, candy will rain down from above when the “Great Pumpkin” makes its flight and releases hundreds of pieces of candy for children to collect.
This year’s event is being coordinated by Sergeant Patrick Rico, who will oversee staging and safety preparations. The gathering is sponsored by Friends of the Community and continues a long-running Deming tradition that draws large crowds each fall.
Organizers encourage families to arrive early, bring lawn chairs, and enjoy a morning of community fun leading up to the big candy drop at Rabbit Park.
