DEMING – Organizers are gearing up for this year’s Shop With A Cop Bowling Tournament, set for Saturday, November 22, at Starmax in Deming. The annual event raises funds to help local law enforcement provide holiday gifts for children in need.
According to event coordinators, teams are encouraged to sign up soon, as the date is quickly approaching. This year’s format features five-person teams, and the entry fee is $25 per person. The tournament will run from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Participants can look forward to food, a 50/50 raffle, DJ entertainment, and what organizers described as “lots of fun memories” for a good cause. Those who are unable to bowl can still support the program by sponsoring a lane. Five lanes currently remain available for sponsorship.
Shop With A Cop is a long-standing effort in Deming that pairs local officers with children during the holiday season to shop for gifts, clothing, and essentials. Organizers say community support continues to make the program possible each year.
