DEMING – The City of Deming has announced a roadway maintenance project involving micro sealing on multiple city streets, with work that began April 28, 2026, and is expected to continue for approximately 20 days.
City officials said the project is being completed by contractor IPR LTD as part of routine street maintenance to help preserve pavement and extend the life of local roadways. Work will generally take place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day, or until barricades are removed.
Drivers and residents are advised to watch for barricades, construction crews, and flaggers in the work zones and to follow posted instructions for safety. Motorists are also encouraged to seek alternate routes whenever possible during the maintenance period.

East 2nd Street
East 1st Street
North Silver Avenue
North Platinum Avenue
North Diamond Avenue
North Ruby Street
North Pearl Street
Lovington Street
Tularosa Street
South Mesilla Street
Carlsbad Street
Roswell Street
Alamogordo Street
Las Cruces Street
South Socorro Street
South 9th Street
City officials noted that weather conditions such as rain or strong winds, or unexpected equipment issues, could affect the schedule. Residents will be notified if any changes occur to planned work dates.
