DEMING – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham broke ground on a new reproductive health clinic in Doña Ana County, aimed at expanding access to essential healthcare services, including abortion.
The Center for Reproductive Health, partially funded by $10 million secured in 2022, will meet increased demand for reproductive services following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. The clinic will serve New Mexico residents and patients from states like Texas and Oklahoma, where abortion is restricted.
Gov. Lujan Grisham emphasized that reproductive healthcare is a fundamental human right and the clinic underscores New Mexico’s commitment to providing safe, comprehensive care.
The clinic will offer services such as abortion care, contraception, miscarriage management, and cancer screenings.
For help, the Governor encouraged residents to use the NMHealth Helpline at 1-833-796-8773.
