WNMU to Host Banned Books Event Open to the Public
DEMING – Western New Mexico University will recognize Banned Books Week with a special event on Tuesday, September 17, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the J. Cloyd Miller Library in Silver City. The event is open to the public and will feature readings by WNMU students, professional writers, and community members.
The program aims to highlight the importance of intellectual freedom and the value of literature, showcasing works that have been challenged or banned. WNMU invites the public to join in the celebration of free expression and engage in this important dialogue about censorship.
