DEMING – For many years, KOTS-AM 1230 was the proud home of Totsie Slover and her beloved weekly show, *Real West from the Old West.* Each week, Totsie showcased some of the finest cowboy music, swing tunes, and western poetry the nation had to offer. Through her program, she built lasting friendships with many of the artists she featured.
Beyond the airwaves, Totsie organized concerts for some of her favorite musicians right here in Luna County, enriching the local arts scene. After retiring from radio a few years ago, Totsie recently informed the KOTS staff of a heartfelt gift—she has donated her cherished CD collection from the *Real West* show to the Marshall Memorial Library in Deming.
Totsie expressed that it brings her great joy to share these memories with the community. Citizens of Luna County are now welcome to explore and check out these musical treasures at the library.
