DEMING -Tomorrow, October 26, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day – your opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted or expired medications. By participating, you can help prevent prescription drug misuse and reduce the risk of opioid addiction in our community.
Law enforcement will be collecting tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid prescription medications. Please note that syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs will not be accepted. If you’re turning in liquid products, such as cough syrup, ensure they are tightly sealed in their original containers.
Drop-off locations in Luna County will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at:
– Deming: Walgreens parking lot
– Columbus: Columbus Post Office
Take this chance to clean out your medicine cabinets and dispose of medications safely, helping to keep our community healthy and secure.
