DEMING – Ezra Hernandez was officially sworn in as a police officer for the Deming Police Department on Thursday, December 5th. Officer Hernandez is set to attend the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy in Santa Fe beginning January 20th.
Before heading to the academy, Officer Hernandez will undergo training within the department, working closely with his field training officer. During this time, he will gain valuable hands-on experience as he works toward becoming a certified officer.
Deming Police Chief Sergio Lara told KDEM News that he congratulated Officer Hernandez on this achievement and wished him the best of luck as he begins his law enforcement training.
