DEMING – The Deming Police Department has unveiled a new Fugitive Apprehension Unit, a specialized team focused on locating and arresting individuals with outstanding warrants. This initiative reinforces the department’s commitment to public safety and accountability within the community.
During two recent operations, the unit made seven arrests, including four for Magistrate Court warrants and two for Municipal Court warrants, along with three new charges and one traffic violation. Deming Police Chief Sergio Lara praised the officers’ efforts, calling their work a demonstration of the department’s dedication to community safety and its strong partnership with the Sixth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
