DEMING – Local law enforcement reported multiple arrests over the weekend involving charges ranging from traffic violations to drug-related offenses.
A 55-year-old Deming woman, Vanessa R. Flores, was arrested on charges that included driving without a license, failure to display registration, no proof of insurance, concealing identity, driving without headlights when required, and resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer. Flores was taken into custody Sunday afternoon.
Rene Garcia, a 30-year-old Deming resident, was arrested Sunday evening on a bench warrant issued by the Luna County Magistrate Court for failure to appear.
Jaden Johnson, a 19-year-old Deming resident, was arrested early Sunday morning. Johnson faces charges of aggravated driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage.
Kaushal Parikh, 43, also of Deming, was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, and resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer. Parikh was also held on multiple bench warrants issued by the Sixth District Court for failure to comply and failure to appear.
Additionally, Reynaldo D. Saenz, 51, of Deming, was arrested Friday evening on charges of battery upon a peace officer.
All persons mentioned in this report are to be considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
