Luna County Sees Surge in Stolen Property Cases

DEMING – The Luna County Sheriff’s Department has reported a sharp rise in stolen property cases over the past eight months, along with an increase in recovering stolen goods.

Sheriff’s Captain Michael Brown told KDEM News that deputies have successfully recovered many high-value items. Authorities are urging the public to stay vigilant by watching out for their neighbors and keeping an eye on unusual activity in their communities.

Officials advise residents to take note of unfamiliar vehicles or individuals that seem out of place. In the case of an emergency, residents should call 911 immediately.
