DEMING – The City of Deming Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at 1275 E. Pine Street in Deming. The meeting is open to the public both in person and online.
Among the major agenda items is a resolution to accept a grant award from the New Mexico Department of Transportation for Municipal Arterial Program (MAP) funding for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
The council will also receive a Project SEARCH overview and conduct an intern signing, along with recognition of the Deming Police Department Explorers, with an invitation extended to attend their celebration on July 3rd.
The agenda includes:
- Public input (up to 3 minutes per speaker)
- Approval of updated job descriptions for the entire Water/Wastewater Department
- Creation of new job descriptions for Gas Foreman, Public Works Project Coordinator, Grant Specialist, Community Development Director, and Executive Manager
- Ratification of Administrative Regulation DM 08-02, related to on-call and recall-to-work procedures
- Proposal to increase hangar rental fees based on the Consumer Price Index
- Consideration of a new Infrastructure Capital Improvements Plan (ICIP) for the City of Deming
The Manager’s Report will be followed by a closed session to discuss:
- Limited personnel matters related to contracts for appointed personnel
- Legal matters
