Deming Cesar Chavez Charter Board Meeting Postponed

DEMING – The Governing Council of Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School has postponed its regular board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2025. School officials confirmed that the delay is due to the unavailability of one of the board members.

The agenda had included action items such as approval of new memorandums of understanding (MOUs) related to transportation, student nutrition, and maintenance—agreements that define key service partnerships for the upcoming school year.

The board was also set to consider approving two new elective credits for students: Community Service and Work Experience. The additions are intended to support the school’s mission of building life skills and encouraging personal growth.

Additional agenda items included updates from the audit, finance, and academic planning councils, the Community School Food Distribution Report, and a staff/student spotlight.

KDEM-FM and KOTS-AM News will report the updated meeting date as soon as it becomes available.
