Luna County Commissioners to Hold Special Meeting July 24

DEMING – The Luna County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Luna County Courthouse.

Commissioners expected to attend include Ray J. Trejo of District 1, Colette M. Chandler of District 2, and Christie Ann Harvey of District 3.

The agenda includes several key items, including Resolution 25-54, which pertains to the certification of the 4th quarter financial report; Resolution 25-55, which involves the adoption of the fiscal year 2025–2026 budget; and Resolution 25-56, authorizing the submission of a New Mexico Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program application to the Department of Finance and Administration’s Local Government Division.

Commissioners will also vote on the payment of membership dues to the Coalition of Arizona/New Mexico Counties.

Each of these items will be subject to a motion and roll call vote.

The meeting is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.

Upcoming meetings include a public input work session scheduled for August 14, 2025, from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. the same evening.
