DEMING – The City of Deming is set to begin construction along Pear Street this week, with work officially starting on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The project will run from Columbus Road to Country Club Road and is expected to continue through late summer of next year.
The construction will include the installation of new asphalt, curb and gutter, drainage improvements, and new striping. City officials say the upgrades are designed to improve safety and driving conditions along the roadway.
Pear Street will be closed to through traffic beginning November 4. However, access to local businesses in the construction zone will remain open. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible, especially during peak traffic times.
