DEMING – City officials are working swiftly to address a mechanical failure in the water distribution system that has led to discolored water affecting homes and businesses within a designated area of Deming.
According to a statement released by the City, the issue stems from a malfunctioning component that allowed sand to infiltrate the water lines. While the water remains safe to use, residents and business owners experiencing discoloration are advised to run their taps for several minutes until the water clears.
If the problem persists, individuals are encouraged to report their address directly to City Hall. Officials have assured the public that updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
