Great American Duck Race Starting Line – Bravo Mic Photo
DEMING – The Great American Duck Race is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, featuring the Bravo Mic Communication’s Duck Royalty Pageant. Join the festivities and participate if you or anyone you know has the desire to waddle in public. Embrace the theme “Hawaiian Duck – Hula To The Finish Line” for a chance to win the title of Duck Queen or King and take home $500 cash, along with many other prizes.
The pageant includes various age divisions: Just Hatched (0-12 months), Lil Waddlers (2-4 years), Downey Ducklings (5-8 years), Darling Ducklings (9-12 years), and Queen and/or King (13 and up). Judging will be based on costume originality and duck waddle, talent with a 2- to 4-minute duck routine, and an interview for the King/Queen category focusing on general fowl knowledge, poise, and the ability to represent the Great American Duck Race of Deming.
