DEMING – The Luna County Commissioners will convene for their regular session on Thursday, August 8th, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held on the third floor of the historic Luna County Courthouse.
The agenda includes the presentation of service awards to two dedicated county employees. Kristen Flores will be recognized for her five years of service at the Luna County Detention Center, while Luhuana Valdespino will be honored for her decade-long service at the Central Dispatch Center. Additionally, Lupita Hernandez, the Planning Department Supervisor, will receive special recognition for her contributions.
A significant part of the session will involve the swearing-in of newly hired detention officers by Edgar Davalos. Reports from various county elected officials will also be presented, providing updates on their respective areas of oversight. County Manager Chris Brice is scheduled to deliver a comprehensive report to the commission, highlighting key county developments and initiatives.
