DEMING – A 65-year-old Española man is facing serious charges following a drug bust earlier this week. On January 2, a concerned citizen alerted New Mexico State Police to suspicious activity at the Lowe’s parking lot involving a blue Infiniti. Officers observed behavior consistent with drug trafficking and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver, identified as Ysidro Longoria, was found with a backpack containing 30 individually wrapped foils of fentanyl powder and more than $600 in cash. He was arrested and charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Driving While License Revoked for DWI.
